Assessment Argument

Upon assessing my own blog, I believe I was successful in getting across my thoughts and personal opinions in relation to reading education. In my weekly blog posts, I believe took on almost a persona of an educational reviewer. (If that is even a thing!) I looked at the articles and videos as products I was reviewing; documenting my thoughts prior to reading, and how I feel they could be incorporated into the real-world. I look at your probing questions as “questions from subscribers/viewers” that had interest in what I was blogging about next. Along with creating a blogger-reviewer scenario to motivate me to complete and engage with readings, etc., I demonstrated a strong understanding of concepts and theories reviewed in the readings and in class. I also completed blog posts on time.

Upon further review of the overall assignment, I reviewed my comments to classmates. I believe all my engagements with my peers were meaningful and critical. In posts I was intrigued by, I was sometimes argued my thoughts in the comment, or even ask further questions. I believe I successfully gave critical comments, as well as, made strong connections to content in readings and/or videos, yet I believe I lacked in making strong connections to our in-class content on some of my comments. I also experienced two occurrences where comments were left on posts, yet not at the time asked. After assessing the rubric, I believe I should receive a 62/70 on the assignment.

On a more personal note, I really enjoyed this assignment and am excited to incorporate the feedback and process of this assessment in my final research project.
